These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the service provided by the website www.alafar2024.org, owned by the Latin American Association of Refractory Manufacturers (hereinafter referred to as ALAFAR), with registered address at Juncal 1305, Floor 17, Office 1701, Montevideo, Uruguay.
By accessing, using, browsing, and purchasing on www.alafar2024.org, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions described below, as well as by the laws applicable in the Republic of Peru, as everything contained on this website applies only to Peru.
By using this website, you declare that you are of legal age and have sufficient legal capacity to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, and that you have read and understood their content. Similarly, you expressly and without exception accept that access to and use of this website and its contents are solely and exclusively your responsibility.
ALAFAR reserves the right to update and/or modify the Terms and Conditions detailed below at any time. For this reason, we recommend reviewing the Terms and Conditions each time you use this Site.
Authorized Use
You may use this website to review and register your participation (Congress tickets) that ALAFAR will have available, as well as the information on the uses and characteristics of the products, which are designed solely for the user’s informational purposes.
Prohibited Use
All information published on this website may not be subject to
commercialization, distribution, copying, or modification. Identity theft and/ or incorrect information that does not correspond to the natural or legal person using the website are also prohibited.
User Rights of this Site
The user will enjoy all rights in force in the territory of Peru, particularly
those established in the Civil Code and Consumer Protection Law, as well
as those additionally granted in these Terms and Conditions. The user will
have at all times the rights of information, rectification, cancellation, and/or
others of their personal data in accordance with Law No. 29733, Personal
Data Protection Law. Visiting this website does not impose any obligation on the consumer unless they have expressly accepted these Terms and
Conditions.
Conditions of Access and Use of the Website
The user must register by completing the form for this purpose, which will allow them to formalize with ALAFAR the registration for the event
(Congress tickets) in which they are interested. By submitting the form, the user will be authorizing, freely, prior,unequivocal, and express, the processing of their personal data in ALAFAR’s personal data bank, with the data being used for advertising, promotional, communication, and information purposes for the dispatch of products and future purchases made through this sales channel.
Validity and Validation of Offers contained on this Site
The prices of the event (Congress tickets) on this website are valid as
long as they appear on it. ALAFAR may modify any information contained
on this site at any time and without prior notice, until receiving a purchase
request, which will obligate ALAFAR to comply with the conditions of the
transaction formed between the parties. The event prices published on this site will only be valid and applicable on
this site and will not be applicable to other sales channels used by
ALAFAR.
Prices
The price of our event (Congress tickets) includes all taxes. ALAFAR reserves the right to modify its prices at any time, but products will be invoiced based on the rates in force at the time of order registration.
Payment Methods that can be used on this Site
The products and services offered on this site can only be paid for with
the payment methods detailed below:
• Debit/Credit Card: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and
Diners Club through the Niubiz payment gateway.
In case the payment gateway reports the denial of the payment method,
the order will be automatically canceled.
By pressing the “Pay” button during the purchase process, the user
declares to fully and unreservedly accept all these Terms and Conditions.
Security
For your security, ALAFAR has relied on the Niubiz payment system.
The bank details entered are encrypted and transmitted securely to the bank’s servers and are subsequently verified with the issuing bank to
prevent possible fraud and abuse.
This data entry procedure is guaranteed by PCI DSS encryption
technology, the most advanced and effective protection system currently available. Thanks to this, no third party will have Internet access to this information regarding the bank details entered by the customer. ALAFAR does not know or record this data during the payment operation or at any other time.
Service Delivery
The service is delivered by attending the ALAFAR 2024 Congress to be held on December 9, 10, 11, and 12, 2024, at the JW Marriott Hotel in Lima, Peru. To enter the event, each person must present their identification document, which will be checked against the list of registered participants.
Changes and Returns
Cancellations made until August 31st will be accepted and refunded (minus a service fee) after the congress. There will be no refunds after August 31st and it will only be possible to substitute the attendee.
To do this, the current participant must send an email to registro@alafar2024.org, requesting the change and providing the corresponding information.
Territory
This site has been built and is controlled and operated by ALAFAR and is governed entirely by the laws of the Republic of Peru. Any dispute arising from or related to this, its contents, its operation, etc., must be processed and resolved by the Peruvian Courts of Justice.
Regulations
The customer undertakes to comply with what is established in this contract. In the case of gaps or aspects not regulated by this document, the provisions of the Civil Code and Consumer Protection Code will apply supplementarily.
Conflict Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with this Agreement, including
a dispute about the validity or existence of this Agreement, shall be
resolved by arbitration proceedings under the laws of the Arbitration
Center of the Lima Chamber of Commerce, conducted by a single
arbitrator. The parties waive any right to appeal against the arbitral award.
For any supplementary intervention by the Judiciary, the parties establish their domicile in Lima. The user declares to have read and fully understood the terms and conditions outlined above, expressing their
agreement and express acceptance.
Third-party Services
We may display, include, or make available third-party content (including
data, information, applications, and other products or services) or third-party websites or services (“Third-Party Services”). You acknowledge and
agree that ALAFAR will not be responsible for any Third-Party Services, including their accuracy, completeness, timeliness, validity, compliance with copyright, legality, decency, quality, or any other aspect of them.
ALAFAR does not assume or have any obligation or liability to you or any other person or entity for Third-Party Services. Third-Party Services and links to them are provided solely for your convenience, and you access and use them entirely at your own risk and subject to the terms and conditions of such third parties.
